NFCU has a branch in Fort Worth.
I joined EECU which has a branch nearby my home in Fort Worth before I joined NFCU. Of course EECU is not as lenient with baddies when it comes to loan approvals. FTWCCU seems like a good CU in the DFW area.
NFCU.. I dont have a NAVY background
Wow, Navy's over double the 2nd highest CU with assets and members. Now that's impressive.
wow, gecu is #21??? no way! i knew a lot of people banked there, but i didn't think it was THAT many!
(we have a checking & savings account there, but we actually don't really bank there, because everyone else does! it's like a zoo getting in & out of there.)

They serve Navy, Army, Marine, DoD etc. Maybe someone in your family that served in the past can get you in with NFCU. If not, I heard good things from Alliant CU and DCU.
In Touch is a good CU in the DFW area. Great rates and easy to work with!
How does the largest CU (NFCU) compare in size against a bank?
I mean, if we take all financial institutions -- banks and CUs -- where does Navy stand?
