Hi all!
My fiance and I was talking about using one of our 3 cards every month to maximize FICO scores as well as picking one reward card tha gives us the most beneift.
Mine:
1) Merrick Visa (No Rewards, so it's $0 balance and sock drawer)
2) Barclay Rewards MC (currently have $96 cash back balance)
3) Discover IT rewards (currently have $14 cash back balance)
4) (as AU) - AmEx BCE
Hers:
1) Capital One Quicksliver (currently has $5 cash back balance)
2) Barclay Rewards MC (currently has $4 cash back balance)
3) AmEx BCE (too recently opened last month but we already exceed $1,000 purchase requirement for 3 months to get $100 statement credit)
We would like to use one card each for everyday use and at the same time reap the benefits of rewards so which one gives the most rewards?
Thanks y'all!
If you want to get the most rewards possbile, it will come from using your cards in their respective categories. For example, the BCE for groceries, Discover card in the 5% categories, and the QS on anything not in a category. If you want a straight forward and simple solution just use a card with the highest all-in-one rewards rate. I try to use just the DC, 2% card. I don't want to sound like samuel l jackson, but it is unlimited cash back with no categories to worry about.
