Which order should I do this?

Greetings all. I'm interested in applying for the following cards and am curious if there is a particular order in which I should--and if you think I have a good chance of being approved.

CSP, Freedom, BCP and maybe an Amex charge card. I am "dying" to have the BCP because I spend so much money on groceries every month--$700+!

My scores are in my signature.

EQ (2 INQ; one 10 months old for student loan; the other a month old for CLI)
TU (0 INQ)
EX (1 INQ; 2 months old; not CC related)

I have the following cards:

Citi Diamond Preferred. Balance $0/$5K CL (reporting as $1800 CLI-hasn't updated yet)
Capital One $0/$1250
Capital One $0/$1000
Cap One/HSBC $0/$1100
Victoria's S. $0/$750
Credit One Bank $0/$1400
Applied Bank $0/$2150
Chase (Slate, I think) $633/$8500 (am AU on this card)

My reports are free of baddies/derogatory info with the exception of an 11 year old UNPAID $576 state tax lien that is on EQ only. I am working on paying this off. I have the app itch but am willing to wait until the lien updates as paid (once I pay it.)

Thanks in advance for your input.

Re: Which order should I do this?

Do you need an Amex charge card? It's going to lower your AAoA unnecessarily if you don't need it

Re: Which order should I do this?

I'm not sure on the order with multiple cards from the same company, but I wanted just make you aware that Chase may not give out a 5k limit for the CSP AND additional credit for the Freedom when you don't have a 5k limit reporting yet.

|| Barclaycard Rewards Visa $5500 || AMEX BCE $2000 || Discover IT $3000 || Amazon Rewards Visa $1800 ||

Re: Which order should I do this?

Might as well pay the lien and let your new Citi update. Both lenders are primarily EX but Amex can triple pull. Once your CR's are updated, might as well go for all 4. The Freedom, CSP, Amex Charge and BCP.

Good luck!

Re: Which order should I do this?

I wouldn't recommend you going for csp now too. Forgot to add. Get the freedom first, then apply for csp 6-12 months down the road.

For Amex if you want both charge and revolver, apply charge first, then revolver. I personally don't recommend you get a charge unless you need it

Re: Which order should I do this?

Actually, enharu, I don't need a charge card at all.

If you don't need it then don't app for it. I'd still wait until your CR's update

Re: Which order should I do this?

Amex is going to pull EX, but sometimes they triple pull for people who have lower than ideal scores or report.

Chase pulls Ex most of the time primarily, but also used EQ as the primary bureau to pull from depending on where you are located. However, the norm with chase nowadays seems to be that they are pulling from more than 1 bureau. Some had EX and EQ pulled, some had EX and TU, some had all 3. Of course there's also people with just 1 bureau pulled.

Re: Which order should I do this?

Due to the Lien being so old, can I expect my score drop to be minimum when it updates to paid? Or is that wishful thinkin on my part?
