@enharu

Exactly! With that unpaid state lien Chase is probably a denial even at 11 yrs PLUS no other $5k limits reporting - although some have reported approvals without a prev history.

Re: Which order should I do this?

There won't be a score drop because of the lien update as paid. CS drop will come from the inq's/new accounts

@Lexie, really? Very interesting. I just assumed CS would drop once paid. Thanks for that info.

Any kind of lien or collection will look much better as paid rather than unpaid. Your chances will be higher once you pay it off.

Re: Which order should I do this?

Thanks to everyone for the input--I feel I got some very good advice. I'm going to follow up w/the state tax lien on Friday.

Enharu and LS2982 you both differ on the order in which I should apply for the Freedom (1st and 3rd place). I need a third opinion. Smiley Wink

Just noticed that Lexie gave me her recommendation for which order I should app.

BUT you both agree I should wait to apply for the CSP until after I've had the Freedom for at least 6 months and if I apply for Amex charge and revolver, the Charge should be before the revolver.

Re: Which order should I do this?

I forgot to list it overall. I was recommending which to go first for each lender Smiley Tongue

Go with Amex charge first if you need it, then Amex revolver, then freedom. I would just skip csp overall for now if I were you

Don't quote me on this, but I think liens can report for 7 years after paid, 15 years unpaid.

Re: Which order should I do this?

Not sure about the time frame..just know that an unpaid tax lien once paid will not make your CS drop.
