Re: Who all is applying for Amex's new card?

It requires too many transactions for the bonus. It only earns significant rewards on US grocery (+US gas if EDP). It has a foreign transaction fee added to all international purchases. Global acceptance is low. I think I'm going to pass on Amex for now. Maybe at the end of 2015, if I am in the US at that time.

Can you product change from BCP? It seems like a very similar card to it so I'm not sure what I would do yet

As mentioned a few time, Amex has said No PC from any card.   Whether that remains true when the card becomes available is a different matter.

Does anyone feel that AmEx would be flexible in their approval process for new members, for the launch period. Never had any luck with Amex so far.

The "Every Day" card....
Doesn't look like anything special... Lol although it is a new Amex!!!

It looks like they had a bunch of the old Amex Clear cards... Haha I think that's the one...

Who's applying?!? Should I?!? Lol

I have the BCE, so there doesn't really seem to be any additional benefit to apply for this one.

yup this seems to be the biggest downside.

I'm interested in this card as well, but I was hoping I could PC to this rather than to apply for it.

Likewise, I'd rather PC, especially since the BCP is now obsolete for me with this new card.  Will use this card for all my gas moving forward, except when Freedom has it's 5%.
