Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
Chase. Visa is more widely accepted, I value Chase URs more than Amex MRs and I get 3x travel points with the CSR. This is in terms of cards I actually use when I travel. In terms of perks I like the Amex plat for the centurion lounge access, delta sky club access when flying delta, and for hotel status with marriott/spg/hilton although I currently have status with those without this card its nice if it keeps stuff from lapsing.

Phantom,
Im not debating that. I'm just a noon to all of it.
Looking for some pointers.
Thanks.
I hope you take this to be helpful as it is intended but you would you receive a lot better pointers and answers if you asked specific questions instead of a general ‘what do you like’?about Amex and Chase travel cards. That and the often topic of ‘what is the best travel card?’ are not the best way to receive information that pertains to your needs.
I could make a 10 page post about the travel cards that they offer and their benefits but most of it would be meaningless if it didn’t interest you or pertain to your travel needs. What I or anyone else like about their travel cards, which are many, is really not the way to learn about how any of their cards would help you. For example, a reply to your question was from someone who said they like Amex’s Centurion Lounges. That's great and one of the features I like as well but Centurion Lounges are very limited in number and may not be located in any city that you would travel to. Are you going to pay an AF of $550 for that feature alone? Not likely. Be more specific in what you are looking for. Such as what kind of travel are you even talking about? Airline, hotel, award redemptions, vacation packages, etc? The list is lengthy . Tell others what your travel plans are and ask questions about the cards and you’ll get better replies. Maybe a combination of their cards would be a good fit or maybe none of them would be and a different creditor’s card would be a better fit. Additionally you and other posters that ask about travel cards should spend some time going to the bank’s websites and reviewing their travel cards. You’ll find a lot of valuable information there and from that you can ask questions on items that interest you.
In in the end other posters can be very helpful to those interested in travel credit cards if the OP is specific in nature and some basic research is done ahead of time. Again, I’m not singling you out because these types of posts are frequent and I think for everyone’s benefit they could be asked in a better way.
Edit to add- I will be very happy to answer any question that you might have regarding travel cards. I own just about every one of them
I like Amex because I'm over 5/24 so Chase travel hacking is not an option for me right now.
I'm also based out of ATL so Delta is my airline and Amex is a better fit for that. And I like having gas and groceries as bonus categories year round. And I like Ticketmaster presales.
Chase, for several reasons:
— I travel to Europe twice a year. Visa is more widely accepted in Europe than is Amex.
— I live in a United hub, and I can transfer Chase UR to United miles.
— The Chase travel credit is much easier to use than the Amex airline incidentals and Uber credits.
— I can book my own hotels and earn Chase UR. At Amex I have to use their travel portal to earn MR for hotels.
