Who reports AU accounts?

I was wondering if anyone here knows what CCC still report AU accounts.
I heard that some CCC take the AU name but not their SSN so how can the report on the AU CR?

Also, if I ask my dad to add me what kind of info would I need to give him?

Re: Who reports AU accounts?

Danged if I know how they did it, but when I went AU on DH's Discover, they never asked for my SSN, but up it popped on my reports, a week or so later. A bit scary, that!

Most CC's do report AU's, although AmEx had some hiccups back in October, I think. Somehow I wound up as AU on my daughter's Gap Card, but it does NOT report on my CRA's, thank goodness.

Re: Who reports AU accounts?

I am an AU on a Discover card which is not being reported. I called and the CSR told me they don't report AUs to the big three.

Hi, Mayhem, try calling back at a different time of the day. Mine popped up on all three of my reports within a week of being added, and it's been there ever since.

Is your Discover from Discover? Or is it co-branded, like an HSBC Discover? If it is, it's the bank behind the card, rather than the card type, that controls the reporting.
