Who to ask for a CLI

I've got two Chase cards that are 10K and 12.5k CL, and Amex that is fairly new (almost no balance) and a C1, also pretty new that has a $6800 BT from about 7 months ago, just using it for the great rate of 0% for another few months. The Chase cards are 4 and 15 years old respectively. I use them for business sometimes, and frequently max them out, but PIF long before due, sometimes I end up having to make multiple payments just to keep enough available credit. Would it be more likely for Chase to give a CLI more in line with the Amex or should I just wait for a auto CLI?

Scores are all great now that I am not listed as a AU on an account that the primary went south. No baddies, all over 720.

With that much history and respectable scores I'm sure Chase will be more than happy to increase your CLs, especially with that usage.

However, it'll cost you a hard inq.

Asking to CLI a brand new Amex is like playing with FR fire.

I've kinda picked up on that with Amex- I use it mostly for personal stuff and really don't even come close to maxing it out. At best I use up a few thousand and pay it down. I'm a expert at keeping my util fairly low, and it's getting lower every month. I'm well below 20% now, mainly just the C1 card. Thanks for the info.

Bad part is Chase is hitting my EQ, which if I remember correctly, is the one I have the most Inq's on.
