Why Isn't Amex Reporting?

As of next week I will officially be an Amex family member for 61 days. I do plan to ask for 3x CLI at that time. What's interesting is that my Amex account is not reporting on any 3 of my credit reports. Do any of you know how long does it take Amex to report new accounts?

It is normal, Amex takes 2 sometimes 3 statements before it reports.

@WhiteCollar    If it does help at all they were very slow to report my card I've had with them almost two years this past go around I actually reached out to them to see what's up so it may also be something with them in general.

Re: Why Isn't Amex Reporting?

You should be happy they report after the second statement.  Longer it takes to report, further you are removed from new account penalty, there is frequently a small points gain when an account reaches three months old.

I wish no one would report  for ...a year

Re: Why Isn't Amex Reporting?

Mine has reported yet either, I'm at day 69 now and already got the second statement which cut last week. I was hoping I'd get to see the impact of it for scoring purposes, but might not happen and it'll just pop up when it's 3 months old.

Re: Why Isn't Amex Reporting?

I would be delighted if none of my credit cards reported in their first year of existence.  I don't understand why folk are so eager for new cards to report.

It's not about being eager, just making sure I'm keeping track of things.

Re: Why Isn't Amex Reporting?

I was just wondering about this myself as my AMEX card of 18 months has not yet reported either. Statement close was September 2nd and I check my credit reports daily in preparation for a mortgage loan.
