Why does CAP One QS1 show up as a Platinum?

I'm confused but does anyone elses Capital One QS1 card show up as a Platinum card in their online account?

because that is exactly what it is however if it bothers you, you can go into your settings and change the display name.

Yeah I beleive it is listed as such unless it is a signature card.

Platinum is the base tier for many MasterCards and Visas these days.

It will say Platinum MasterCard on your statement also. You can change the account nickname online to whatever you want though. It's just the MasterCard tier assigned to the card. Give it time and try to PC to a QS WMC.

Can somone post instructions to how to get to the "settings" portion of the Capital One site so that I can change the names of the cards when I log in? I can't find it anywhere and when I did an online chat with a rep, I was told the feature didn't exist.

It says platinum because that is the internal level capital one has attached to you.  in addition to quicksilvers ans quicksilver ones there are also additional levels besides visa/VS that are applied to your account based on credit worthiness.  Someone explained it here in great detail about 6 months ago.

That feature (account nickname) is currently not available. I have old nicknames that does not apply to my cards and it drives me insaneeeeeeee

My Platinum which has been upgraded to a Quicksilver MC and also PCed into a VentureOne WMC, still says Plat MC
