Why is Citi like this?

When you say 'just', how recent are these tradelines? Citi is known to be gun shy when you have a few new accounts showing on your report.

Yup

Re: Why does CITI hate me

Citi doesn't hate you.

They have no feelings for you.

Their algorithms have deemed you a risk, and as such they are unwilling to raise the unsecured limit on your card, even with other lenders approving them for you.

I have done nothing wrong to these guys yet they just deny deny deny. I have had a home depot card with them for 5 years, perfect payment history and they can't even give me a CLI from the measly $500 starter limit.

I apply for a Best Buy card and nope. DENIED! Even on Recon. I applied about 6 months ago for a CITI Hilton card and was denied for that as well.

I'm the same with Discover. They would never raise mine from $750. At this point, I don't really care since I got other card to worry about lol

Re: Why does CITI hate me

OP.... I have had a very similar experince with Citi.

I have 5 Chase Cards, 4 Amex.....plus many others, average limit around 10K but 5 as high as 25K and Citi keeps denying me.

I was very interested in the Thank You Premier becuase they have EVA Air as a transfer partner.

I have applied twice in the last 6 months and denied both times, despite 718 EX Fico,8% util.

It seems they do not like new accounts, i have added around 5 over rthe last 6 or 7 months.

I do have a BB Mastercard with a 10K limit but that started with Cap 1.

I was approved for the Ritz card with a 23K limit just a few days before I applied for the Thank You Premier, both EX pulls.

Well I mean honestly what was I supposed to post?

A little pragmatism never hurt anybody.

I don't get why people take credit so personally that they attach feelings and intentions to lenders.

I admit that i am also guilty of the nonsense emotional aspect of matters on occasion myself, or did, until finding the antidote, as in severing ties with the offending party. Smiley Very Happy

I know man, just kidding a bit.  I think of these posts as more of folks blowing off steam.
