It very well could have something to do with EQ since Citi tends to also pull EQ and/or EX too. Whereas Chase is EX/TU.

That's what I got, and I'm in Washington.
I think Citi hates me too. I applied for the double cash a while back and was declined. I have a bunch of new accoutns and inq on ex thats all they pulled for me here in CT.
I did have an old student loan with late payments on it from citi then it got sold to sallie mae i wonder if that has anything to do with it?

Unless it mentioned the student loans or unsatisfactory previous relationship I doubt it had to do with anything other than not meeting U/W standards or Inquiry copout.
Citi adores me. It's Barclays that's declined me for reasons I can't fathom. I was denied last year for the Wyndham card with a 767 tu. The reason for the denial was, too much available credit. Oh! brother...
