Why does Discover sent out different colored envelopes for the IT card?

Maybe this is a stupid question, but is there any difference? 

So far I've received 3 purple envelopes, a red, and now a maroon all for the IT "double cash back your first year".

Discover has lit the fireplace and is asking you out for a date.

They send different colors because it is boring receiving the same color every 3 days!

I've only received one. Purple. It was probably a few weeks after they denied me. LOL

I got a few purple ones and then applied for it and got it.  Then they kept sending another 5-10 of them after the approval and lowering the APR in the offer.
