Why is Disco so slow to post?

Is it me or is Discover one of the slowest lenders to post pending charges? It seems to take days to post and i have charges that are over 4 days old still pending. I like to pay them as they post, just out of habit but it is kinda annoying or weird. Heck I'll order a pizza with my PPMC and within 2 days i can already make a payment. Just curious to everyones experience and what other lenders you find are slow. AJC

Out of my 4 cards, Disco seems to be BY FAR the slowest.  Probably on average 1-3 days slower than the others.  It's weird.

Amex is pretty slow too. We've had Uber Eats charges hang out in pending for alomst 5 days. Payments take 24 - 36 hours to post. The only way to get payments to post same day is to have a three-way with Amex and your bank. It makes things a little confusing when you are waiting to pay the balance. I'm not sure why some banks take forever in this day and age of point-and-click (Sorry microwave gen, you're just not fast anymore Smiley Happy

Re: Why is Disco so slow to post?

Out of my cards Cap1 posts the fastest. Disco usually posts 1-2 days after Cap1, sometimes add another day if its a charge that could have a tip adjustment. And WF Amex Propel posts the slooowest, feels like 5 days sometimes.

Disco hasnt been slow enough for me to really complain, seems normal. Propel Amex gives me anxiety because everything takes forever to post, especially non-WF bank payments(5-7 days to refresh available)

I find Disco slow. It is very annoying, but they are also my favorite card/best card by far so it leaves me torn!

Desired BK recovery line up complete 7/12/2021. Planning to garden until 8/2023 and potentially try for AMEX.

Re: Why is Disco so slow to post?

They are so slow at times, once I saw a text alert for a charge at Dairy Queen while I was at home, I locked my account, and got on to chat with a CSR about the unauthorized charge. The charge was mine, it was 7 days old and I forgot I went to Dairy Queen that long ago.
