Why is it that I never get pre-approved?

Why is it that I never get pre-approved? I have an Amex BCE and a decent credit score.

A lot of people don't. There is an 800+ person who doesn't get them either. I know that I don't, as well.

I think it's because maybe at one point in our lives we were on the opt-out list? At least that's my theory, as it applies to me.

I think I vaguely recall opting out years ago, I guess they held to their word because I've never been preapproved, have a decent income and scores over 800

The only pre approvals I get in mail are for BT cards, when my utilization is always around 2-3% lol

What is your AAoA?  Mine is low so I don't get any - I was denied BoA at 731 (the score on their letter) for AAoA and short credit history.

I don't get any pre approval in the mail too and when I try the pre approval link for Barclays, Discover and CapOne, nothing came up but i applied anyway. Got approved for them all...

Be glad you dont get BS offers like Pre Approved Loan offers with a 96% APR, I get insulted everytime lol

I get pre-approved letters from places like Credit one bank , First premeir and etc ...At least now i am getting capital one letters  which is a step up even though i wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot pole

I get many pre approved Amex and discover so chase. Today I got a discover it and a Amex blue cash eve though I just got those cards. A fee days ago I got the gold Amex pre approval but it has an annual fee and at the moment I stay away from those.

Credit history 6+ years. Score today 755 TU
No negatives. Income only 52k.
