Will Target upgrade store to CC?

I have a Target SC with $200. Just got it last month. Will they consider upgrading to the CC after 6 months or a year?

Target has got to be THE most unpredictable when it comes to upgrades or increases. Some people have had the store card for many years at the same $200 CL. Other's have been given increases and upgrades without any rhyme or reason.

I recieved my card in June and got a cli of $300.00 on my third statement for a total cl of $500.00. I'm about to get my fifth statement and I've spent about $980.00  with my card and payed $765.00 dollars since I recieved it.

Next month I'm planning to spend another $300.00 with my store credit card hoping to be upgraded to the visa on my 6th statement. I hope other with experience on this can reply.

Another question to add, what is the highest limit they have on their store cards and what is the lowest starting limit on their visa cards?

I got my redcard Nov 07. Thought I would get a CLI at 3 and 6 months. I didn't... but today I logged in and my credit limit is $1,000. So it took a year but I finally got it.

Got my card last year around this time.  I checked my account now and it still shows $200.

I emailed them they no longer upgrade from the store card they said you have to apply.

That's interesting, I have not heard that before.

I would not apply for another card with Target and risk a hard inq with Target. It is not worth in the present market conditions.

HOLY CRAP. I read this thread and decided to check my Target account. I'm between 2 1/2-3 years with them at this point.  I started at $200CL and got CLI to $500 around 3 month mark. Nothing ever again since then. So..I log in just now and see this:

Total Credit Limit: $1,000.00   Amount Over Credit Limit: $0.00 

They doubled my CL. Hmmm, I've been shopping there, but haven't been using their card. I was sort of boycotting them with their crappy CL and just using my rewards cards....maybe they noticed.

P.S.

Everyone check your Target accounts. (I am so skeptical, I already think it must be a mistake! LOL). I sure hope this is not an upgrade to the Visa. Then I won't have any store cards and it will mess up my mix!
