Don't feel bad. I seriously think it's been like 2 years and 7 or 8 months for me. I really thought I was lost in a black hole in their system somewhere. I can not tell you how shocking this is for me. That's why I still am suspicious. I can't just take it and be happy, I have to keep pondering about WHY? LOL

Congrats to every1 who got a CLI! I just checked with all my fingers and toes crossed and to my surprise...still at $200! Target hates me its been over a year and a half!
Hmm, maybe it was a mistake. This article says to be on the look out for CLD from Target. Which seems hard to do considering the majority of their cardholders have $200CL.
I wouldn't cancel the Target card. There are no fees and it just helps continue to build history. I've gone several months at a time without using mine, (most recently) and they haven't cancelled me. I actually don't think I have heard of anyone being closed for inactivity, so it may be beneficial for you to keep it even if you are not using it.
My available balance finally updated to reflect my new credit limit. It appears that my account is still a redcard but I imagine I would have to accept a VISA upgrade before it actually happened so I will wait for something from Target in the mail. Either my regular statement telling me of a CLI or a letter asking me to accept the Visa.
I'm not sure if I care either way. I am just happy to rid myself of my lowest CL and to do so at my favorite store.
I love the 10% off coupons and the "Take Charge of Education:" option. I selected the school where my sister teaches to benefit from my spending at Target. Everyone with a redcard should select a school to receive, even if it's just a random school.
Great post.
I agree. I'm just happy to have a decent credit line with them. My account appears to still be a redcard as well. For the time being, I hope it stays that way. For my situation it would be ideal right now.
I also agree with you about selecting a school for the take charge of education option. It doesn't cost anyone anything, might as well give the kickbacks to your local schools even if you don't have children.
I recently got a 10% coupon and can't find it anywhere. Bummer I could have used it for xmas shopping. Pooh. I always lose them!

If it makes you feel better I probably use about a third of the ones I earn. They expire too darn quickly! (And yes, I've misplaced a few, too!)
Wow. I am normally the biggest whiner on the board because whenever anyone has a good experience with a CLI or reconn with a cc I have I never have the same success. So imagine my surprise when I log into my Target account and see my limit has also increased to $1000.
I am one of the few who had the 3 month initial increase from $300 to $500. I truly am estactic because I LOVE Target and use my card alot. Thanks OP for making me check my account. I agree with others ... they are probably increasing limits to give people more buying power during the holidays. For whatever the reason, it helps my usage so I am AOK.
Peas, that does make me feel a wee bit better. Hehe.
PurpleHaze, Congrats on your CLI!
I probably will keep it. It seems that people who actually run some money threugh the thing are getting CLI's. I prpbably haven't run $100 through it since February.
