Yes, I had a very long banking relationship with WaMu before I applied for any of their cards.
July 2007: Applied for WaMu Platinum MC (non-rewards version). Declined.
April 2008: Received preapproval for WaMu Real Rewards Platinum MC. $15K instant approval.
The rewards are just eh, though. Very mediocre. The best part is the 0% on purchases until 1/1/10. I've had the card 6 months already and I still have 14 months to go before my 0% term expires. (Until Chase decides I'm not worthy and yanks it away, at least.)
