Hi All
I hope someone can help me out here: I would like to give my score a lttle boost, so I'm thinking of making a deposit to increase the CL on my Capital 1 secured card from $1000 to $3000. I always make sure I keep the closing statemnt balance below $100.00 so that I have a low utilization. With tht said, will increasing the CL help my score?
Thanks for all the great advice!
What else is in your file? The impact will vary depending on the depth of your credit profile. If this is your only card and you stay at $100 reporting, the drop in util percentage might give you a little boost. But it probably won't be much.

I would suggest you open up another secured card and deposit that balance there. Although what does your credit profile look like?
