First the Witness Protection Program now Gangster as profession on apps.

Actually.. I'm also curious that can credit cards be used inside of jail? Can they mail order stuff with their CCs?

Why not, the question will be, if they prison will allow the delivery ...

But man, don´t you think you have other problems then credit history, if you are in a witness program? I would.

And I would most certainly want absolutely no connection to my earlier life ever ... money (credit) can´t stop a bullet ... at least not all of them. And a dead man can´t use credit, no matter what the CL is ...

Yeah, that would be a problem. Imagine if you still carry your old CC payment on your new credit report. It will show the last four digit of your account number, will can be used to match your previous profile and maybe you will be identified by the bad guys. What I can imagine is that you have to re-establish your credit history once you get a new identity and SSN.

Guantanamo is not in mainland US. But I've checked Amazon.com before, it seems that they can deliver certain items to prison and it will be inspected.

Re: Witness protection program?

I wonder if any of the defendants from this case flipped and went into witness protection. Somehow I doubt they have good credit now.

No, that's why I am pretty sure that you would have at least a newly made up credit history.  If you are say in your mid-50's, having no credit history would look strange when applying and you certainly don't want to explain!  You have a whole false history (where you lived, worked, went to school etc) documented for you, and credit history would be part of this.

Whatever the motivation, it does make an interesting break from the repeated discussions on utilization, x3 CLI, "just got approved..." etc!

Because they are interesting and it doesn't seem anyone has asked them before.
