Would Chase send a new card overseas?

I was recently approved for a CSP but I had to travel before the card arrived, by the time I am back, I will miss the welcome bonus. Would Chase be willing to ship it overseas seeing it is a new card or am I screwed until I get back to the US? I just wanted some insight before I pick up the phone for a call.

You can try but betting for security purposes for new accounts they won't send the card to anywhere but the mailing address on file. Try though and sooner the better before the card gets made and you won't have a choice in the matter.

Re: Would Chase send a new card overseas?

Chase will definately not send a new card to any place other than the registered mailing address.  You really wouldn't want them to send your card to Nigeria would you?  Even on a lost or stolen card, replacements usually have to be sent to the registered mailing address or to a Chase branch that can do the necessary verifications before handing over the card.  (I have never done that, but there are a few reports here that in branch mailing is polssible when you are away from home.)

You are incorrect though, at least on the replacement card front. My dad got one of his cards shipped to him international via UPS by Chase when he lost it overseas, and the other when it expired when he was living in Europe for a year.

@Remedios I am waiting for someone with a similar experience before I make the call as it should be pretty expensive.

Your dad has similar experience. Secure message, maybe?

Reality here is, you will have to make that call either way. Be prepared to make more than one in case first CSR says it can't be done. I am fairly certain I've seen replacement cards being shipped to places other than the residence, but I cant recall anything about the first card  being sent to different place.

Good luck

Re: Would Chase send a new card overseas?

I stand by my response that the initial card must be sent to the registered mailing address.  A lost or stolen card while overseas can be replaced.

Have it shipped to your local UPS store, then have them forward it to you.
