Would this give me problems? Amex BCE question

I currently have a recently opened AMEX BCE with a SL of $2k... if I suddenly charge $500-$600 (restaurant tab for a group) to it, will this trigger a FR? Trying to avoid headache of FR....

Also, is it still true that if I shop at walmart/7-11 etc, it will trigger an FR?

Myths are all they are!

The biggest triggers have been adding AU's, using personal cards for business, and other reasons that are rare.

I've used mine all over the place and not an issue with the merchant choices I make.  Don't worry about where you swipe other than the normal fraud that can happen when you're not the one swiping the card yourself.  FR's take quite a bit to get AMEX to do one outside of the reasons listed before.  Just relax and you'll be fine.

There is nothing more NORMAL than charge $5-600 restaurant bill on a 2K card, if they FR this, they would FR every single account they have!

Nothing to worry about, back when my BCP had a 1k limit, I would charge $500 dinners and then pay it off with no issue.

It's a brand new card. they don't know how you use it. they might give you a phone call if you only use it for groceries 75 bucks at a time for months, and then all the sudden go to a restaurant with the big bill like that. No worries.

Charging up to the limit at CVS/Walgreens and paying off in full multiple times a month. This is indicative of manufactured spending to meet bonuses, and Amex shuts people down very quickly for it.

I would always notify your card companies of travel. Better to have it on file in advance to avoid declines, or in the case of future fraud.
