This is true, as compared when they gobbled MBNA and NationsBank...vastly improved... The introduction of their Cash Rewards and Travel Rewards programs and improvements in the customer experience has put them on a good competitive front. Which products are you considering enharu? My temptation is reserved for the Merril+ Visa Sig for next year.
They've been sending me pre-approvals for the Cash Rewards, but I'm mostly interested in the Privileges or the Merrill+. I thought of applying for both next month, but figured I should just spread things out if I do get them. I'm still undecided as to what cards I really want to get.
What's your recommendation?

I have the Privileges Cash Rewards...but I'm gonna lean toward the Merril+ for the no FTF since the Priviliges has a 3% FTF (comes with an EMV Chip tho). It also has a $75 AF, which can be waived if you park $50K in your BofA checking/savings or CMA with Merrill Edge/Merrill Lynch WM. You get the same 1/2/3 reward structure (capped at $1,500 per Qtr) like the standard 1/2/3 but you also get a 50% customer bonus when you redeem the CB into any of your BofA accounts or any of your CMAs with Merrill Lynch. But next year I'll be adding the Merril+ for sure.
Dang this is making me want to app for the 1-2-3 card!!!!

Are you in the garden? or thinking about it? It's a great BofA product.
@FinStar wrote:You will LOVE them for sure young. I have 3 of their cards (eventually adding a 4th one next year) and their service has been awesome. They will go out of their way to provide feasible solutions and to make the service experience a memorable one.
Now if only they had better travel cards... =/

the 3% FTF for the Privleges card is a bummer, but that card can still somewhat be of some use.
The Privileges Travel version has no FTF right? It does not show up on BofA's website, but some said it's still available for BofA customers with >50k in deposits?
I am very interested in the Merrill+, but it's hard to find out specific info of what the PLUS tier entails. Only info I've been able to find are all pretty vague.

I totally get ya CreditScholar... they do tend to fall somewhat short when compared to the CSP or the United MP Club. You have a unique BofA one (Privileges with TR) that not many folks have. I reckon this is your back-up CC in case Chase experiences some network issues or the like?
