Now they approved me for NavCheck I pushed my luck and applied for platinum MasterCard.
Here is the response I got. I can not beleive my eyes.
I guess Navy is very good to their customers. I guess once my USA Fed Visa gets transferred over then I can request CLI on it and then I am all set for my life. I dont have to look any where else for my financial needs. Navy Fed will be there as a trusted friend in need.
Concord,
Wow is right! Congrats!
I know this is the "elephant in the corner of the room" but, how many TLs does that make for your CRs now Concord?

I know I have quite a few trade lines. Many of them are store cards that I applied for special rewards.
It amazes me you can keep up with them all. I sometimes feel exhausted keeping up with the few I have. I don't know how you do it!
Congrats again! Nice CL.
Congrats! I plan to apply for my 2nd NFCU credit card near Christmas. So long away from now and reading your thread makes me want to apply so bad...lol.
Congrats!!!!
Ron.
Any tips on how to get in?
The app king strikes again! Nice CL's, Navy Fed will be in the cards for me soon!

I believe that OP got in (with a lot of others) via membership in something called USA FCU, a credit union that was going belly-up and scheduled to be absorbed by Navy. Members who joined USA in time were grandfathered into Navy in this manner. Now that USA FCU is no longer, this particular pathway is closed.
Otherwise, go to Navy's site and check their qualifications.
I managed to get in because my late father was career Army and my mother has a pension from his service. Neither ever belonged to Navy, but that was enough to qualify me.

Hauling, I am curious. Family members of the new members who came from usafed will be eligible for membership to navy? For instance my my DW and DD's.
