I have had the card for over 2 years - started at $200 and have only received one increase of $300. Oh well, I wanted to get rid of that card anyway. I will pay it off next week and then cancel.

Also, the American customer service rep told me that they "turn off" the upgrades to the Visa during thr holidays because they do not want to confuse people with sending out new cards. LOL!Um, okay. I think people would appreciate the holiday cheer and maybe it would help them with some gifts.
Mor than likely , tuning off of the upgrades for the holdays is to encourage customers to use the store cards instore. Run that balance up and make payments at that interest rate. Not that the Visa Upgrade is much better. However, with the Target card you can only run it up at Target.
