Re: Yippy!!! Got first Amex :) Zync though :D

Thanks folks Smiley Wink

I have a little doubt though. Lets say my billing cycle is : 1st of every month to 1st of next month, so I have to pay everything by 1st of next month even if I made a purchase on 30th? or every purchase gets a month time for payment

Re: Yippy!!! Got first Amex :) Zync though :D

yes!  This is where strategy comes in.  Any charge whether at the begining or the end of the cycle must be payed withing about 15 days of the end of the cycle.  So if you charge on the 30th and your cycle ends on the 1st, that will most likely be on your statement.  You will then have about 2 weeks to pay your statement...so there is still some grace period if you want to do that. Re: Yippy!!! Got first Amex :) Zync though :D

Just called AMEX out of curiosity regarding applying and the rep told me that the GREEN card is being used as a way to help customers "rebuild" their credit...huh?  I am going to wait another month and then apply...I just don't want a rejection right now.

Good luck to all those that have recently been approved but I will wait til I can get the card I really want.

why didnt u get the gold??

Not everyone wants to spend so much on an annual fee.  Especially with what you have to spend to break even, when if you spend that much on Zync, you get great rewards.

BofA Cash Rewards VS - $25k | Citi Double Cash World MC - $18.9k | Amex BCE - $50k | Discover it - $50k | Chase Freedom Unlimited VS- $10k | Barclay Ring $5k |

Acutally I applied on friday and got an instant approval. If I apply for Gold today, will it still show one inquiry or two?

My goal is to get Amex Blue Cash... When do you think I should apply for that? 6 months?

Yes, but once you have to pay the annual fee on the Gold, you have to spend, what? $7250 just to cover the $145 fee? (that's assuming 2 points per dollar charged; don't know if it works out so smoothly.)

Like anything else, one card will provide better rewards for those who use it in certain ways, and the other will be better for others.

Folks, How much credit line does Zync provide? Will it at least let me pay my rent of 1100 every month?
