Yes, this is known. Anyone can ask. The issue is not whether you can ask via sp but can anyone get above without using a hp, which most if not data points points to as no.
I asked and was told no soup above $25K ..
But @ less than $100.00 a year spend, I really should not be asking.
Although I do know it is possible to go above with heavy spend,
at Macy's and outside Macy's (if you have Macy's Amex).
One might be able to go above by a HP and providing POI ..
Honestly (2) Macys cards @$25K each is way beyond what I will ever need.
