well if you travel. Amex has a promo on delta gold now w/ 45,000 skymiles that ends Dec 20th.  I would go for it but I don't want to compromise my chances for the amex cards I want to get next month.

actually i wanted to apply for the Hilton honors card by them but i figured a charge card would be an easier way to get in and then apply later on :]

well i have no experience with an amex credit card..but imo a charge card should be easier to attain simply because theres no pre-set limit so your max charge can actually be capped at 500 and it must be paid in full at the end of the month. oppose to a revolving line of say 2k+ which holds a greater risk to a card company

OP, congrats on the approval!

But even bigger congrats on getting your util down, which is way more important in the long run.

I'll let all you young pups donate $450 to American Express, and maybe I'll just buy stock in them instead.
