In order to help my newly 18 yr old daughter establish credit I called my CU about adding her as Joint to my Secured CC with a 1,000.00 CL that has been open for exactly 12 mothns next month with Zero lates. My question here is this: Once she is added....what will show on her CR ...i.e....will it show the past 12 months that I have had the card for her too....or will it simply begin next month for her on her CR?

Adding her as an authorized user would most likely give her the card's lifetime history. However, applications for joint credit cards normally require the credit of all applicants to be pulled for consideration as they will all share equal responsibility to pay back debt incurred. Banks generally insist on opening a whole new card and starting fresh when you want to "add" a joint user, in which case there wouldn't be any history to report. If you're primarily concerned about bulking up DD's report, I would strongly encourage you to add her as an authorized user instead. She'll receive all of the scoring benefits with no hard pull or hassle.
