Hi all,
as an amex authorized user, am i able to have my own account on the amex website where i can log in or is that left only for the main account holder. Also does it help my chances in getting approved for my own card.
you can have your own log-in as an authorized user. Being an authorized user doesn't help you getting an approval on your own from Amex.
Yes you can have your own login as Peteyglad mentioned, but you will only be able to see your transactions.

I assume you want to improve your credit via being an authorized user to improve your chances of getting your own card. Amex isn't that good for this purpose, as when you become an Amex AU, Amex unfortunately doesn't provide the AU's credit profile with the full credit card history. That is, the history will start the day you are added as an AU, which isn't great for improving your score. It's much better to get added as an AU on another major credit card which will give you the full history. Ideally this card should have zero lates, a high credit limit, low utilization, and the older the card the better. The ideal situation would be something like your parent adding you on a high limit card that barely gets used and has a long history with zero lates. This is quite a good strategy for getting a credit score boost. This would improve your chances of being approved for a card in the future.
So i know now that as an amex authorized user i can have my own seperate login, but do i have the use of my own reards point for purchases made with my card or does that still go to the main account holder?
The earned points all go into one pool. Whether you are able to spend the points is up to the main account holder. On the web site, they can go to Account Services -> Manage Rewards Users to determine which authorized users are able to spend points.
Hi all
As an amex authorized user are you able to recieve prequalified offers when u log in to your account?
I am not an authorized user, but, I have a corporate card paid by my company, which may be treated similarly (not sure).
For me to see prequalified offers, someone on this board told me that I have to use an incognito window and check without logging in. If I simply log out and check, I get meaningless results because of cookies. So, maybe try an incognito window, do not log in there, just enter your info in the fields and check that way.
