This is good news if it still works, but a shucks moment if it doesn't since it is in the T&C. I have some travel planned for flying the parents out to Colorado soon (new baby on its way in November) and would love some free airline GCs or at least prepay my parents checked bags...

July 1 I think it started. Same time as the other revamps.
Sonuva gun, I'll have to try the GC on either the PRG or Plat for $50 and see if it get reimbursed, if not no biggie I can use it. It'd be nice to help cover my Plat AF with $200 per calendar year. The PRG AF wifey had waived on the offer she got, so that'd be money in our pocket if we can get that to work, or pay for itself for next year's AF if we keep...

I got $78 on my PRG a couple weeks ago. AA gift card. But apparently PRG reimbursements have stopped as well. Hopefully not permanently.
I'd put some stock in them being super backed up from the Plat-madness that's causing the delays in the GCs, or at least I hope so lol. I remember reading in one of the threads someone waited an hour on the phone just to app. When I was able to speak with a rep and put in my application with the code, I didn't get an auto approval, he specifically told me not to worry as they were super swamped that day. Turned out my address being in a mail center (UPS Store Personal Mailbox) red flagged my app until they could get a physical address, which once they did resulted in an approval...

Could this be the reason for the delay?
It's possible.

Seems FT, DoctorCredit and others are saying this expired August 20....still waiting for contrary data points. Seems everyone is expecting credits really fast? It may just take some time from the influx of Plat cardholers. Guess we'll wait 2-4 weeks to know for sure.

My last one on the PRG took 3 days I think. I still have a pending $1 charge from AA on my plat account though, so we'll see what happens.

This is probably a perfect benefit for this situation for the $100 credit
Mom and dads bags depending on how long they're staying could cost a lot ...Lol
You know how are parents pack
That being said with a new baby and by the way Congrats when you go see your parents you'll be loaded down with extra luggage.....One for you, one for hubby and 2 for baby plus a stroller etc etc if not more.
So that's another time this will benefit you.
Extra value 3x on air
2x on dinning gas and groceries

I hear the argument that its the delays in the redemption are because they are backed up with new plat accounts. I'm not sure how likely this really is. I would think that this type of thing is automated so a number of new accounts would not slow reimbursements. It seems odd the notion that the people at amex would have to do something manually to approve the redemption, but I suppose anything is possible. I have seen people get reimbursed for global entry on a short turnaround, so I'm not sure why they would get theirs and other people wouldn't get credited though. A real data point would be if someone uses the credit for something like an additional bag and we see if they get the credit or not.
