any answers?

It still shows that i'm an AU on my CR for Best Buy. I was wondering If I apply for the best buy store credit card or mc, will it affect my chances of getting approved?

HSBC is the bank that issues the Best Buy cards, and they have a strict, one card per customer policy. However, I am unsure if this applies to you.

If you were to apply and get declined, you can call and recon, as you are not the actual account holder. I think it's worth a shot.

I have to disagree with that. I have 3 HSBC issued cards and I'm an AU on another HSBC card. They tell me I'm at the limit with the 3 I am the primary card holder on.

The "one card per person" policy does exist, but doesn't seem to apply across the board.

It is not uncommon for those with only one existing HSBC card to be denied for a second one for the "maximum number of accounts" reason.

Re: any answers?

I think it also depends on whether or not they solicit you for a card or if you cold-app.
