I always mouse over the submit button and then go "oh let's check to make sure all the info is correct."
Then I hit submit and my heart stops for a min. If I see approved I'm all #PartyLikeIt's1999
If I see denied/" further review" I'm all "Oh! I'm calling you right now..."
And then I get approved
And then I party like it's 1999
I always have the recon number handy before I hit submit!
My God. This is me all the time when I do these card apps. I think it's that uncertainty that's always there even if my scores and credit check out of what could possibly happen or whether I'll get the limit I was hoping for. I'm just glad I'm getting decent starting limits most of the time now if I do get approved for something.
Not I. If I'm denied, I just shrug it off, because there's always a next time, and quite honestly there's always a "better" card around the corner.

Right, but that advantage of heroin is that it doesn't impact your credit score (at least at first). So, those here into micromanaging FICO, next time you feel the urge to app, go to your local dealer instead!

Then you might have to do a cash advance... Bad idea
I think it is normal to get a little anxious about it. I usually just assume now that I will get approved. The last time I did not get approved was for my Elan card, but I also knew that I might be borderline for them. I got the 7-10 day message and just needed to verify income. After that I got the card, but not that great of a limit. It is however a higher limit than my Household/HSBC converted to Capital One card which I have had for 3.5 years! I imagine it will grow faster than that card!
I have been gardening for about nine months now, so I haven't had the feeling in a while. I think I will not know that feeling for at least another 3-15 months. I really do have all the cards I could want and need. I can't really think of any other rewards cards that I could need and get. The ones which I might want I can't get. US Cash +, since I don't live in their area and therefore can't go in to a branch and apply. Huntington Voice, also don't live in their service area, I have four bank accounts in their service area because I used to live there, but until I go back there I can't app. Oh well. I will just have to wait until some better cards are developed.

Anyone else get nervous when applying for a card?
Not since finishing up my work on rebuilding a couple of years ago.

See, it does get better everyday........
Pretty much. Not a huge rush, more like the one I would get on a blackjack hand.
I mentioned to my wife that it was like gambling but didn't cost me anything ( other than getting killed if I ever started running them up.... )
