Yes I have a tax lien from 2001 that's been paid and released.  That's it.

The tax lien is not holding me back because it is paid and old.  I have just received cards from AMEX and Chase and believe me they are much harder to obtain than Hooters.  So let me re-phrase for you,  I wonder why they are looking at my old, paid tax lien for 15 days.

i think it may just be who you talk to. last night i called and they had ne record of me at all. the cr told me to call back when the credit dept. opened. i called 3 hours prior to credit opening and the cr gave me my limit. don't loose heart, if they gave me a card you're in.

has anyone had any sucess with cli at activation with the hooters card?

Can you all tell me what your UTI was on your other cards at the time of application, whether it may affect approval or not, and/or if you think Hooters decisions are based soley on scores. I am in Michigan and am also wondering if anyone knows who they pull from.  I have been working so hard on my scores since a terrble (abusive) marriage, and have gone from the LOW 400's to FICO median today of 583.  The reason I ask is I just paid down UTI to about 50%, and intend to have it down to 10% or less by the new year, but, a larger limit card would certainly help.  Any thoughts ?
