anyone else having issues w/ their barclay account? i logged in to check my activity and when i log in i get activate your card, it still shows the last for of my current card which has been activated for awhile. i confirmed the site i was on everything looks normal i see my account info so i go ahead and did that all it asks for is the last 4 of social and the cid, then it takes me to the account page and prompt me again for the info. call the number on the back of the card, auto system says account was recently converted to a new account ending in #### please update bill payer and merchants blah blah blah. get a csr ask him whats going on and he says no the card you have is active, i said the auto system is tell me the account was converted,he said he did see anything to that effect and said the card should be fine, ill find out later im going to try a small purcase to see whats up, i got my amx as back up so im fine. i wonder if it has something to do w/ homedepot i unfort prob used all my cards there at some point....
Are they perhaps having issues with card activation in general recently? I activated an AU card yesterday by phone and it still doesn't show the card's activation date on the site.
dont know i sent them a message via the site will see what they say, the card exp date isn't till late next yr, if it was due to fraud i would understand but they didn't send me any fraud alert or anything, which they did last time a few months ago someone in china tried to charge something like 4500 in jet fuel, i logged on it showed the alert and i got a text i think, i called in they asked about the trans and i said unfort no i dont own a jet or know anyone that does so nope thats not valid. they said fine and sent me a new card next day i called and i activated it the day i got it and everything has been fine since- in a panic and to quell any app itching i froze all 3 reports, im def not regretting that esp now w/ home depot
just got a response to my email its because of home depot, i guess props to them for being proactive but bad comm on their part and how the csr didn't know is kinda scary too
