Yes I did apply today for both product and they only pull one time transunion because I just check my credit report and there is only one inq.
But I did call the recon number and ask to match my other card that I have

Just wondering, are they insanely sensitive to any more credit or there is some sensible threshhold somewhere? Is this just credit or a mix of scores and credit that scares them?
Grats Julio, very nice limit
vish1- I've also read here that they're very senstive to new accounts. But I've never had an issue. They were my first rebuilder card, and since then, I've opened 3 new accounts. Two of them within a month of eachother last Nov-Dec.
Just a few weeks ago, Barclays gave me a CLI. So they must be looking at more than just how many accounts you're opening up.

This is exactly what I am trying to say. I agree that they may be more sensitive to new accounts but am unable to convince myself that any new account or even an inquiry sounds like the sky is falling to them and triggers something as harsh as an close off without considering any other factor.
Again, those of us who experienced this AND followed-up thoroughly to get answers found that it's new accounts Post-Card Act (give or take a month or 2 after Feb 2010) that have only been opened less than 6-months. If you had your Barclays card a year or 2 ago, then you're pretty safe. It's NOT the credit analysts who are closing accounts. Credit Analysts will approve you based on their review and have absolutely nothing to do with whatever happens afterwards.
Credit Portfolio Unit stated it's solely based on new account(s) opened or appearing on CR "after" your Barclays card was approved... no other factors -- that's their job and sole purpose to protect the company.
With the millions of customers and various products they serve, I'm pretty sure a few people may slip through the cracks. As I always say, "Thank you lucky stars." Just don't go through life assuming this type of thing never happens.
