Send GW letters. And if they say no - wait another 30-60 days and try again. DO NOT GIVE UP. GW's work, ity's just that sometimes you have to be persistant. DO NOT GIVE UP. Keep sending those letters. All it costs you is a stamp.
 
There are several good sample GW letters here.

Hop over to the General Credit forum and click on Frequently Requested Threads up at the top. In case you've never looked in there before, it's full of goodies.
