cap 1 How long should I Waite before applying for a second 1?

I received my first capital one card in April with a 500 cl in the credit step's program. IM wanting to try and get another one so I can try to combined them and have at least a cl over 1000. Other than the required 45 day app Waite time when should I try again? IM not worried about the three inquiry's because IM low on those on all three reports.

Do you know for a FACT that you can combine their cards??  I'd first find that out, as you may end up with 2 cards with $500 limits & no chances of CLI's.

What are your TU & EQ FICO's?  Any baddies reporting?  You might be better off going with another card completely.

I'd also wait on apping anywhere for now.  Let that card get some good history behind it (2 mos is not long enough).  Maybe wait until November.  That will give you a solid 6 mos. in your back pocket.

I have some baddies when I first got the card my tu was 596 and my eq was 609. Now my tu is 619 and my eq is 640 my util was 60% but now its down to 22% next month I will have it under 10%. I just closed my applied bank secured card which was my starter card last June  with scores of 454 tu 465 eq. IM just wanting a higher limit card and to be honest if I could get one card with a 2500cl I will be satisfied not needing no more credit than that I mostly use credit to book family vacations hotel and rental cars.

If anything, I'd wait until cap 1 "steps" you up to the next level.

 For many reasons, it is better to have more than one.    I suggest you apply for a card with a different bank or CU and develop higher CL with both.

IMO, I would let Cap 1 step program proceed on its own.

Thanks for all opinions and input. I think I probably will Waite and explore other options and possibilities before, I go with a second cap1 card. I also have a hooters card with a 400cl maybe i should waite to see if they will cli me. I've had hooters since feb 10.
