its not just paying your bills on time that factors in a decision. inquiries, util, baddies, aaoa, and debt to income ratio all come into play to factor a decision. when you get the denial letter it will state why

Re: cap 1 is not approving people anymore?

Murat you didn't list your fico but your credit profile looks bad to me. Short history, lots of inquiries, high utilization. My guess you are in low mid 600s at best. I would garden and get that util down and inquiries to age to year.

Re: cap 1 is not approving people anymore?

@jetsfan2012 I fully understand your reasoning, however, while I'm rebuilding why not add another CapOne card that gives rewards as well? like the cash back or student rewards journey card? it would be nice considering I probably wouldn't be approved for Discover or Chase card yet. What other rewards CCs would you suggest while rebuilding?

I don't qualify USAA nor NFCU. I don't see other rewards choice. I'll probably have to see if I can get a rewards CC from another local CU non-military affiliated.

because its going to cost you 3 more inquiries and its just another card your going to have to close down the road. have you considered a walmart store card? free fico and they are good about cli's that will give you more of an increase that cap one would. there arent really much rewards for subprime.

it depends who your applying with. 15 inquiries total on all 3 reports? how many are on transunion equifax experian? your util is a high factor for denial. some prime cards go by inquiries in the last year some in the last 6 mos. your best bet like suggested is to not app for anything for a year that way you can get another year history with no inquiries maybe get lucky and get a cli or 2 then see where you stand score wise. with a 700 score 2 years history and no inquiries in past 12 mos assuming you have decent income, a few prime cards should be no problem.

Re: cap 1 is not approving people anymore?

garden for 12 mos. get yourself some anti itch cream and spread it all over your fingers lol. you are in no position to apply for anything. if you apply anything GE and some miracle happens and you get approved its going to be a low maybe 200 limit. my bet is you will be denied. btw what limit did kay jewelry start you out at? did you apply in store with cash deposit or just apply online for store credit?
