Does the 5/24 rule apply to all types of new credit accounts ie auto loans, personal loans, secured loans, mortgages, personal Ines of credit, etc... or just new CC accounts?
Goes by personal credit cards.. most business cards are not counted.. disregards everything else you mentioned

Well that's good, means I'm only at 10/24 instead of 14/24!🤪
Just 14 short months before I have a shot at the Amazon Prime card I crave!
@markbeiser that's funny 😆... I don't feel so bad now. I'll be 4/24 in 4/24... how strange.

It was all steps towards getting out of 95%+ CC utilization, a high interest car loan, and credit scores in the 620 range, to <4% utilization, refinancing the car to a nice rate, a HELOC at prime+0%, and credit scores in the 765 to 790 range, so it all made sense to do. Most of it anyway.🤣
Now all I have to do is coast along and not open anything new until next year...

I was approved fore the chase amazon visa at about 8/24. There are numrous data points on here of people being approved for the amazon visa card over 5/24.

I've read here, and elsewhere that point to the the Amazon Visa as being one of several co-branded cards from Chase that may possibly be exempt from 5/24. The more I see things like this, the more it seems that's the case.
