didnt really know about this card until my wife mentioned it to me and then I started looking into it and im surprised that Its not talked about more then it is. I understand IHG are not top flight hotels but there is a 80k point offer which is good for at least 4 free nights in decent holiday inn express type hotels or about 2 free nights in the better IC brand hotels, then you get a free night in any IHG hotel worldwide annually with no catagory restrictions unlike other "hotel" cards. and the AF is waived first year then $49 which is really worth it since the free night is worth so much more then that. its not a top flight hotel card but an excellent mid level hotel card IMHO.
It's a great card! I will never give it up unless they make a lot of changes in the future.
They also start you off with crazy limits. I have 20000+ plus limit on mine. It's my largest none CU credit limit.
Yeah, this card is definitely under-talked. 80k sign-up bonus, free stay certificate every year, relatively low AF, and Platinum Elite status as long as you're a card holder. It was definitely worthwhile just for the sign-up bonus and perks even though I don't even stay at IHGs regularly.
I like mine
I was thinking about getting this card. I stayed at the Holiday Inn in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and it was nice. I traveled all around Canada and liked the Holiday inn the best. The one in Edmonton was Holiday Inn express and nice room and staff. I will get this card and use it... a lot.

I got the 60k signup bonus + $50 statement credit offer instead of the 80k.
I got both. First I got the 80K then SM'ed Chase and got the $50.
