Well, I can see the moral victory in forcing them to acknowledge that you are now a good customer, but honestly, I don't think that they are worth fooling with. Chase has such a stink-o rep.
Turn your approach on its head--why don't you consider kicking them to the curb? They should be fighting for your business. If not, then to hell with them.
edit: BTW, I hope that you and Mrs. ducky have a great time in London! My favorite city in the entire world. Say hello to Hampstead Heath.

well i've used that evaluation method many times in the last 6 months and chase is one of the survivors. honestly if they weren't one of the top 5 issuers in america i would have shut them down.when i got my cli a few months back my highest tl was 5k, now i have 3 over 10k and a much cleaner eq (4 paid collections and 30 x 3 and 60 x 2 gone). the score is a good 15-20 points higher as well.
See, that's the point. The other companies have figured out that you are worth doing business with. So what's the problem with Chase?
Big whoop, they have a reputation, which they're coasting on. Top 5, so what? They're still pretty sucky.
Your profile IS a lot better, so hey, go ahead and ask. They ought to give it to you, because you would be a fantastic customer. Just remember, if they turn you down, it's because they're fools. (Remember dating in middle and high school!)

i fully see your point and i like having chase in my profile, but think they may be doing more harm than good at this point. i have no experince, but if i'm an underwriter looking over an app and see a 1 year old chase w/500 and see several accounts less than 6 months old starting at 4k and going to 12k i'm wondering what does chase know that ducky got them to not report.
