chase instant approval question

quick question...

friend of mine recently applied for the marriot card through chase. they advised they got instant approval however he said the account has not shown up under his chase accounts yet. im trying to think back but with my last 2 chase cards both showed on my online account within a few mins including my marriott card.

thoughts? they were going to email me a screenshot of the approval to prove they arent crazy but i havent seen it yet.

Mine didn't show up for a week or so.
It doesn't always show up instantly.

I was approved for a marriot premier yesterday. It wasn't an instant approval, but it still hasn't shown up under my accounts. Yesterday, a CSR said something about having to build the account and not being able to see my CL. Today, I was told my credit limit but the acct still doesn't show....and I was wondering the same thing!

The longest one of mine took was 2 days .

None of the Chase cards I've been approved for have ever shown up online. Although, everytime I receive one the website specialists have to create a new profile and merge it with the current one. Their automated telephone system never recognises me either, so they must dislike me .

If it is like the Hyatt or Southwest cards, they have a partner rewards program attached. What I was told by Chase is that they have to call Hyatt/Southwest and see if you already have a rewards account with them, and if not, they set up one, which may take a day or two. This way, they don't just open multiple rewards accounts under the same name, and they can print the rewards number on the card too. This might be the case here.

ok cool, he said he called in and the automated message said still under review however webpage says instant approval and he got an email as well.

I checked my account for the umpteenth time this morning. Lo and behold, the account is now showing. So it took about two days. It shows my credit limit, but says I have $0 available credit....either way I'm totally satisfied.

When I applied for the CSP I got the 7-10 day message. I thought it was a denial but about 30 minutes later when I signed onto my Chase account I saw the CSP being reported. So, between that and my Slate, I think it has showed up within the first couple of hours after being approved.
