holy crap is this how chase is doing business now?
I had my freedom declined at a gas station 1 hour away from my residence. Called CS and held for half an hour before reaching a rep and finally having it resolved.

And I thought that was bad enough!

There have been several reports of Marriott cards getting compromised, unauthorized charges in the last several months. My Marriott card was compromised in June, got several texts and emails related to small charges that were testing the account, apparently. After I confirmed they were not my charges, Chase closed the number, sent me a replacement quickly, but with the number of reports here about compromised Marriott cards, it may just be that their fraud department is more careful about checking.
