chase - request credit limit increase without hard pull ?

Hi, I've had a chase sapphire preferred card for about 6 months now and was wondering if I could request a credit limit increase. But is there anyway to request one without a hard pull ?

99.9999% of CLI with Chase will be HP especially customer initiated CLIs.... You can ask, but I doubt that they will do anything but HP your credit.

Agreed.  Chase is almost always a HP.  How much more are you looking to get?  Is there a reason you're adverse to a HP?  You can try to call their backdoor but it'll still probably be a HP.

Chase has been emailing offers for preapproved (SP) CLIs more regularly since late last year, as others have posted.  You can definitely call and ask, but 99% of the time it will be an HP unless it's initiated by them.  From what I understand Chase is pretty stubborn about that, and even if you use your account well you may not see an auto CLI for quite some time (if at all).  If they won't offer you one with an SP, I'd wait until your account is a year old and ask again.  Take the inquiry if they haven't budged and you can afford it.
