Yes it is and the issue has already been addressed. Lets get past that and continue to try and help the OP. There has been some pretty good advice and explanations so far.

Flmaebaiting? Really? How old are we, 6? We arent allowed to say the OP is wrong when we have had much different experience with Citi in the past? No lender would approve 6 cards on the same day, and even if they did I would 100% expect AA to follow withing the few months after the accounts are opened. OP is angry because Citi declined him 1 of the 6 cards he applied for because they think its a risk. He is acting like he is entitled to having credit with any lender, when in fact none of us are. Credit is a privelage, not a right. So coming on here and saying everyone who has had a good experience with Citi (including myself) is baiting the OP into flaming us is wrong on so many levels. Play nice or don't play at all.

As addressed above, we have all moved passed it. Please focus on improving the conversation and getting the OP where he needs to be.
Oh, an update on the new Citi BB card. My wife requested a CLI on hers and it resulted in a HP. Granted, the request was for a $6K CLI which resulted in the 5 day message which meant manual review. So, for those in the garden, looks like Citi may be an auto HP.
Maybe the lower CLI requests will be a SP.

How long has she been in with Citi, it may be a instant HP for new comers...more so than for a higher limit CLI

Yes, you did. And I would caution you that those feelings could get you into trouble.
Getting emotionally invested in your finances can lead to making irrational decisions that have long-term negative consequences.
When you are making any kind of financial decision, it is helpful to calmly set aside your emotional responses and think carefully about the situation.
Wall Street traders, professional poker players, and everyday fellows like me will all tell you that emotions (when not taken in context with more reasoned information) can be very, very expensive.
As an example, if I had angrily "fired" every company that ever denied me for credit, payday loan shops and Vinnie the bookie from the pool hall would probably be the only creditors left that I'd be willing to apply to. ![]()
