Re: discover application status

Yes, call the backdoor number. You can find that in a sticky in this forum.

Ask them if there is "any more information" they might need or if they can go ahead and approve you now.

Worth the call. I had to do this and I ended up approved.

Good luck!

Re: discover application status

Is that your current score in your sig? Too late now, but I wouldn't waste an inquiry with a company like Discover with a score that low. Those types of cards aren't usually available under 650. Banks like that also want few to no inquiries. With a score like that, subprime and store card are what you'll need (an actually have a possibility of getting approved for) to build credit. Get around 620 and you can probably get a credit union card.

Re: discover application status

Scores are just right there. It was probably the inquiries from the new loans.

Re: discover application status

I would try and recon... I got declined for too many inquiries back in december and got it overturned.

It's definately worth a try, especially if you can explain the inquiries.

Re: discover application status

Discover is extremely difficult to get a recon with based on my experience.

I was denied by Discover 2x before a miracle happened ( they called me back and considered my application).

Best of luck, if anything I would wait 6-12 months.
