do you think i can get a prime card?

hi all,

i wanna get 1 prime card with good cl.

right now i have  Target Visa              4000k

                           Wamu Visa              1250k

                           Wamu MC                2000k

                           Sears MC                 4000k

                            Juniper                     2000k

are any of these consideered prime or higher level sup-prime?

i wanna get a prime card.  I have bk discharged in 2005, no baddies since then.

also, total 14 inquries(4 TU, 8EX, 2 EQ).

with my scores and total iqu's will i get a prime card?

Hi bcnu, that's an easy question to ask, and a hard one to answer.

I would consider WaMu a prime card.

As far as other prime cards go, what are your baddies? Lates,collections, Bk, charge off, etc, etc, etc. It would help to know that.

well, i have no charge offs or collections. the baddies are a bk from 2005, and the late payments associated with those. also a repo from american honda finance, but that was also included in bk, so basically all bk.

You have a nice portfolio of CCs, some of which are PRIME. Seeing that your BK is barely three years old, I would not app for anymore CCs, you have enough and it's unlikely you will get approved for more prime cards with favorable APRs. I would concentrate on increasing your credit limits with these cards. You are well on your way, nice work!

Completely agree with Fused. Besides imo a subprime is looked at as prime if the CL is over $5k. But in your case they all look pretty prime to me. If you can get your credit lines up to $5k your are totally in the prime regardless imo. You can still get prime cards from subprime banks like Cap1. I have made lots of contacts at major banks. Just recently a bank VP in a conversation told me that under $1000 they call subprime and over $1000 cl is not. So no AF and $1k cl they call prime. I just remember the old gold card days with $5k limits and many prime cards like Citi, BoA, Chase for high achievers start with $5k cls. So I personally feel $5k is totally out of the subprime. Depends on what bank is looking. Your selection of cards are all Visa/MC, all over $1000. Looks great! You don't need any more. I would keep working on CLs up to $5k. That should open some more doors for you after I believe.

i will just let it all rest for awile and build everything up. i guess what I have right now isnt so bad  hehe
