does this mean bofa is giving me another chance?

i have an old unpaid charge off from a bofa credit card from 7-8 years ago it was like $3-4000. all of the sudden they sent be a letter saying im preselected to apply for a card. does this mean they'l allow me to get a card now without paying the old debt?

it means you met the minimum criteria they asked the cb for...could be something along the lines of breathing, should absolutely not lead you to believe you will be approved off the letter alone.

so what if they send me a pre approval in the future would that mean im guarenteed the card even with the co? i dont wanna apply for a bofa card unless i know il get it. dont wanna get the inquiry

There is never a guarantee of approval for any "Pre-" offers, but good luck if you decide to apply.

i know nothing is guarenteed but im tryin to get an idea on whats goin on do you think im off bofa's crap list? im guessing if i get a pre approval than chanced are i can most likely get a card again would you guys agree? im just tryin to get an idea on whats goin on in my situation. just lookin for opinions from you guys i know nothin in life is guarenteed
