As is always the case YMMV but,

I applied for the Shell card and received the 7-10 message. I figured I was denied and this was a few months before I started getting in to my credit big time.

Anyway, approximately 2 weeks later card showed up in the mail. Needless to say I was surprised.

And now I took delivery of my dream car yesterday.

There is a chance you will be approved but if not like others have said you got it right to take it slow.

Slow and steady with attention to detail, some will call it obsession in my case, will allow you to buy the things you want in the future with good terms.
